Indecisive as always, I’ve fallen into a labyrinth of choices once again. These little animals are both adorable and dreamy.

Small in stature and dressed in a cream-colored long skirt, Okamoto-san held a cup of steaming black tea in both hands as she spoke softly. Our conversation took place in early March, during those days when the weather fluctuates between warm and cold. I took a sip of my favorite hot chocolate, glancing out the window, wondering if the year’s final snow would fall.

"Eh? You’re wearing a little star pony hook today!"

YouTube is a treasure trove for self-learning; many artisans learn various techniques there, and Okamoto-san is no exception. She once worked with resin and metal to make accessories, but ultimately decided to focus her heart on embroidery.

"Embroidery is the only technique that allows me to design and create exactly as I please."
