About a year ago, odisan, who worked at convenience store and apparel shop, became a full-time handmade accessories artist, handling all aspects from design, production, promotion, to sales by herself, essentially condensing the entire workflow of a company into one person.

Counting on her fingers, she said, "I work about 10 to 12 hours a day, and it takes about 4 hours to make one Uncle Swan."

Hearing this, I couldn't help but express amazement—if you don't genuinely love it, it's impossible to spend so much time and effort on something that may not even pay off.

I asked where she got her creative inspiration, she shyly said, "I really like to eat," introducing me to her latest favourite item, a doll wearing a bikini and food-styled hat.

She continued excitedly, "Isn't it a bit sexy but also very cute?" Indeed, it is a bit naughty.

Her creative inspiration mainly comes from everyday life, besides food, it's the small animals she likes.

"Currently, the piglet keychain is the most popular!"

This is the second time meeting odisan, and her display table is filled with many new faces, I believed that there should be a burst of creative inspiration before the exhibit. (laughs)

Focusing on embroidery dolls now, she still accepts custom rubber stamp orders once or twice a year as long as there are people who appreciate them. After all, this was the crucial turning point that made odisan an artist.

This year marks her 19th year as a handmade artist, yet she still feels passionate about it.
