Speaking of laSoeur, Inai-san was once a system engineer, living a life far removed from design. When her children started kindergarten, she began considering returning to the workforce. Unexpectedly, she stumbled into the world of handmade accessories—and seven years later, she’s still creating.

Beyond being a handmade artist, she’s also a young mother of three. Balancing family and creativity is no easy feat, yet she gracefully moves between both roles.

The Meaning Behind "laSoeur"

Having spent some time studying in France, Inai-san named her brand "laSoeur", meaning "sister" in French, which ties closely to its origins.

"I started this with my younger sister, who is six years younger than me. We were just trying it out, making some accessories for fun, but I soon realized how much I enjoyed the process."

From knitting hair accessories to needle-felt embroidery and resin accessories with dried flowers, she explored without limits. However, as her sister became too busy with work, laSoeur became a solo brand, leading Inai-san to fully commit to her path as a professional jewelry designer.

The First 500-Yen Order

When she recalls her first sale, her voice is still filled with excitement.

"It was late at night when my first pair of earrings, priced at 500 yen, was sold! My heart was pounding, and I was so excited I couldn’t sleep!"

The Birth of the Saita Collection

At the start, her earring designs and materials were completely different from what they are today. After countless experiments, she finally chose beads as her primary creative element.

By combining beads with embroidery or layering them with wirework, she discovered unique ways to bring her ideas to life.
